If you stop by for dinner, check out the menu, which includes handmade fettuccine, all-natural filet mignon, and sea scallops, among other dishes. Regardless of what you decide on, there's surely a wine that pairs perfectly with your meal. McDonald, after all, is quite passionate about wine, as evidenced by the wine dinners he hosts.

Dig Into the Grilled Salmon Tacos at Eat Chow Near Eaves South Coast in Costa Mesa

Eat Chow's chef turns the idea of classic American cuisine on its head. The eatery's decor is deceptively simple, composed of the typical diner accouterments, but the food features a unique take on traditional comfort food. For proof, order the popular parmesan truffle fries, the vegetarian tostada, or the grilled salmon tacos topped with curry slaw. Customers give all of these dishes high marks (though they seem to love practically the entire menu), and they say you should wash down your meal with a glass of the restaurant's sweet sangria.

That is, if you aren't a fan of beer. Anyone who loves suds should check out one of the many international bottled beers or craft beers on tap. Big Kona Wave Golden Ale, Hanger 24 Orange Wheat, and Stone Pale Ale are just a handful of the brews on the draft list. You can also grab a cup of coffee from Intelligentsia or a glass of locally sourced California wine at Eat Chow, which is just a stone's throw away from Eat Chow.
