Local Talents Contribute to the Exhibits at Pasadena Museum of California Art Near Eaves Old Town Pasadena

Some of the pieces date as far back as 1850 at Pasadena Museum of California Art. However, no matter the era, the pieces have one thing in common almost across the board: they were crafted by the able hands of a local California artist.

So anyone with a love for local art should head to the Pasadena Museum of California Art to pay homage to talents from around the state. The museum features not only art, but also design and architecture, so there's plenty to see. Explore its second-floor gallery—which measures 8,000 square feet—and you might find a collection of paintings, photos, sculpture, or even video installations. It all just depends on the artists being featured. You can also go all the way up to the rooftop terrace. It may be smaller than the gallery at 4,000 square feet, but it still offers one of the most enticing attractions at the museum: a panorama of the San Gabriel Mountains.

The Luggage Room Near Eaves Old Town Pasadena: Don't Miss the Salted Chocolate Chip Cookies

The Luggage Room takes its name from a former life. In the 1930s, it actually served as a baggage room. Today, it serves up pizza instead.

Located inside the Del Mar train station, just a short distance from Eaves Old Town Pasadena, The Luggage Room underwent its makeover at the hands of restaurant group LGO Hospitality. The group installed a wood-burning oven to bake The Luggage Room's signature pizzas, and it's fueled by flavor-infusing olive wood. The pizzas come with craft cocktails, part of the reason that The Luggage Room is so busy during weekday happy hours (until 7 p.m.) and late-night hours (after 9 p.m.).

Grab a cocktail, a glass of wine, and a beer and enjoy it with a pizza sporting basil, fennel, Italian sausage, artichokes, and oven-dried tomatoes. You can also opt for a lighter dish such as bacon-wrapped dates with goat cheese. Make sure you save some room for the signature salted chocolate chip cookies.
